A large-scale scientific conference on the topic "The Contibution of Philosophers and Teachers in Human Life" was held at the premises of the research institute uniting about 40 Indian colleges, with the participation of the Deputy Consul General of Russia in Mumbai Sergey Meshcheryakov, President of the Regional Public Organization "BRICS. World of Traditions", manager of the program "BRICS People Choosing Life" Lyudmila Sekacheva, members of the Russian-Indian delegation of the Program.
The Honored Guests from the Indian side were the Chairman of Snevardhan Research Institute Mr. Sharadchandraji Pawar and Vice-Chairmen of the Research Institute Mr. Jaishree Anantrao Chougule, Mr. Arun Punjaji Kadu, Mr. Chetan Vithhalrao Tupe and Mr. Bhagirat Nivrutti Shinde, Program Partner, Dr. Snehal Tawre.
The meeting was organized by the educational institutions "Snevardhan Research Institute" and "Rayat Shikshan Sanstha”, as well as the RPO "BRICS. World of Traditions".
The acquaintance of the Russian-Indian delegation with the institute began with a joyful and exciting meeting of long-time partners Lyudmila Sekacheva and Dr. Snehal Tawre, who have cooperated for many years in projects to study and preserve the moral heritage of Tolstoy and Gandhi and other humanist philosophers.
In accordance with the topic of the scientific conference, the presentation of the International Cultural and Research project "Great BRICS Teacher" on the role and significance of the peace-loving ideas of the great representatives of the "five" countries for the current generation was held.
During the solemn part of the meeting, the Guests of Honor stressed the relevance of this Project for the moral education of Indian students, aimed at promoting cultural values, and expressed satisfaction that the Indian stage of the Program was launched exactly at Snevardhan Research Institute.
The Russian diplomat Sergey Meshcheryakov informed about the support and assistance of the Consulate General of Russia in preparing and implementing the events of the Program in Maharashtra, as well as of the intention to continue cooperation to implement its further plans and initiatives, emphasizing the importance of the Program for strengthening bilateral humanitarian ties, bringing closer peoples of Russia and India and strengthening the foundation for the further development of multidirectional cooperation of the BRICS countries.
Lyudmila Sekacheva, manager of the. Program, started her greeting to the participants of the meeting with a quote by the "father of the Indian nation" Mahatma Gandhi: "If you want to change the world for the better, start with children", asserting the intention of Program’s organizers to hold a baton of the presentation of "Great BRICS Teachers" project in the Indian student and youth environment.
Throughout the baton of the Project, journalist Anastasia Shkitina and coordinator for External Relations of the RPO "BRICS. World of Traditions" Dmitry Kurbatov moderated the meetings and conducted the presentation of the Project with active participation of Indian students.
As part of the event, one of the main organizers of the Pune educational track events, Dr. Snehal Tawre, was awarded with a Certificate of Honor "For the inestimable contribution to the development of multilateral humanitarian cooperation between the BRICS people", established by a Regional public organization. In turn, Dr. Snehal Tawre gave prizes to all members of the delegation for participating in the event.
Later on, this award was bestowed to the member of the Board of Trustees of the organization "BRICS. World of Traditions", and Program partner, Head of Union Exports, Pune, Dr. Gagan Patwardhan.
The educational event for students on December 17, ending with interesting acquaintances, warm communication and a friendly buffet, marked a successful start of the educational track in Pune.
