Since its inception in 1998, the ASEF Journalists Seminar (ASEFJS) has been cultivating media representatives from Asia and Europe and involving them in the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) Process and ASEF’s activities. The Seminar promotes media networks across Asia and Europe and contributes to the understanding of Asia-Europe relations among journalists and enhancement of their reporting and communication capacities.
Topics:
AI’s impact on journalism workflow and productivity (newsroom backend) and on shaping media business models and journalism economics.
Using AI for audience analytics and content personalisation (newsroom backend)
AI for automating routine news updates and stories (frontend)
Detecting misinformation and disinformation with AI (frontend)
Developing guidelines and best practices for AI use in journalism (both ends)
Invited Countries: Citizens of 51 ASEM partner countries.
Applicants should be:
Journalist with at least two years of experience
Under 35 years of age
Proficient in English
In good health
Prepared to participate actively in the seminar.
ASEF and Danube Institute will bear the following expenses for successful applicants:
Seminar fees, including lecture fees, administrative fees and course materials.
Accommodation for the duration of the course.
Return airfare from home country to Hungary.
