The Russia Today media group has opened the call for applications from young photojournalists for the Andrey Stenin International Photojournalism Competition. Students, undergraduates and graduate students aged 18 to 33 are invited to participate in it.
There are four nominations: "Top News", "Sports", "My Planet" and "Portrait. Hero of our time". Single photographs or series of photographs, including no more than 12 photos, are accepted for participation in the competition. Minor processing of photos by cropping, balance and density correction is acceptable. Framed photographs, collages and other works that have undergone significant computer processing are not eligible.
The winners will share a solid prize fund - 125, 100 and 75 thousand for the first, second and third places in each of the categories. The winner of the highest award of the Stenin Competition - the Grand Prix - will receive 700 thousand rubles.
The best works of the contestants will be seen by the general public: the exhibition tour of the winners traditionally includes dozens of cities in Europe, Asia, Latin America and Africa.
Applications are accepted until February 28 inclusive. Detailed information on technical and other requirements for competitive works is published on the site stenincontest.ru.
The announcement of the names of the winners of the competition and the award ceremony will take place in September 2022.
