Center for International Interaction and Cooperation Autonomous Non-Profit Organization launches the international competition ‘The Way of Political Expert’ with the grant support of the Gorchakov Fund.
The competition aims to build the participants' skills of expertise in international political processes. Participation in it will allow them to deepen their knowledge of the nuances of the implementation of various political processes taking place both in their countries and abroad, and to develop competencies in analyzing them.
What awaits the participants?
Studying tools and methods of analysing political processes
Hands-on work with the use of sociological surveys
Developing one's own project on reforming international political institutions
Participation requirements:
To participate, applicants must meet the following criteria-
Age: 18-35 years old
Field of professional interest: Participants should have an interest in current international political issues and specialize in areas such as international relations, political science, international law, or history. Representatives from government and public organizations involved in international cooperation and public diplomacy are also welcome to apply
Teamwork skills: Participants must be able to work effectively in an international team and coordinate group efforts
English language skills: To participate in the competition, participants must have a conversational level of English to successfully interact in a team and prepare project presentations
Competition stages:
1) First stage of the competition
Two educational webinars -
Transformation of the World Order - from Unipolarity to Multipolarity
Tools and Platforms for Sociological Research
Competition task-
Conduct a sociological research on how people in the participants' countries understand the process of transitioning to a multipolar world and assess its consequences, based on the information provided in the webinars and present it in a presentation format
2) Second stage of the competition
Educational webinar - Basics and Principles of Political Analysis
Competition task -
Make a political analysis of a recent international event based on the information provided in the webinar and present it in a presentation format
3) Third stage of the competition
Educational webinar - Modern International Institutions: Issues and Reform Prospects
Competition task -
Make a project of a reformation of various international political institutions to improve their effectiveness in a multipolar world and present it in a presentation format
Three winning teams will be invited to Moscow for a three-day public and political program, during which they will visit the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Parliament of the Russian Federation, Russian foundations, and public organizations
