The Gorchakov Fund along with the Greater Mediterranean Autonomous Non-Profit Organisation announced the call for applications to join an international conference titled Long-term effects of the bombing of Yugoslavia on contemporary Serbian society and the emergence of a multipolar world. The event will be partnered with the Russian House in Belgrade and the Presidential Grants Foundation.
The international conference will sum up the results of a year-long analytical work of the organisers and will become a platform for discussing the long-term consequences of the bombing of Yugoslavia, as well as what happened to the Serbian society, and its economic and political systems over the past 25 years. Most importantly, the event will touch on how similar or different these internal processes are to what happened to other societies (primarily in the Middle East and Africa), that experienced interventions.
Eligibility:
Rising journalists and influencers, as well as specialists in international relations and regional studies aged 18-35, who come from countries of Europe, the Middle East and others, are welcome to attend the conference.
Terms of participation:
Accommodation in double rooms and meals as part of the programme are borne by the organisers;
Participants pay for their travel to the venue and back, visa fees, and medical insurance valid on the territory of the Republic of Serbia.
Three participants will be paid for their flights to Belgrade and back based on the results of the competitive selection process.
