The Gorchakov Fund announces the start of the competitive selection to join the scientific and educational programme The Balkan Dialogue 2025.
The main topic of the programme is the influence of key events of the 20th century on the Balkans and the relations of the USSR/Russia with regional countries.
Eligibility:
Russian and foreign citizens aged 20 to 35
Young professionals in the field of international relations, politics, economics, and the history of the Balkan region;
Activists from civil society organizations engaged in international activities and dealing with public diplomacy issues;
Representatives of local and regional self-government bodies and state structures;
Students, postgraduates and professors from relevant faculties;
Journalists specializing in Balkan issues.

The Balkan Region as a Laboratory of International Peacekeeping: Lessons of the 20th-21st Centuries

Terms of participation:
The Gorchakov Fund covers the costs of accommodation in double rooms, meals, cultural programs, and transportation within Trebinje as part of the program.
Participants pay for travel to the venue (air and train tickets), visa fees (if it's not possible to obtain a humanitarian visa), and transportation to/from the airport (train station).
The authors of the top three essays will be paid for their travel to Trebinje and back.

In the ‘My Projects’ section, click the ‘Create Application’ button and select ‘The Balkan Dialogue 2025’.
Fill out all sections of the application form.
Attach a motivational letter, biography and an essay in Russian or English on one of the topics listed below (length is no more than 10,000 characters with spaces).
Go to the ‘Submit Application’ section and click the button with the same name.
