On 27 May – 1 June, Moscow will host one of the earliest educational programmes of the Fund.
This time around it will be devoted to the use of new methods and technologies in international relations research, advanced programmes and artificial intelligence for data collection and processing.
Participants will get an idea of how to select and use the right tool to conduct their own research. The Seminar lecturers will be leading Russian experts in the field of international relations, as well as representatives of public and private companies that resort to digital technologies to analyse data.
Maxim Suchkov, Director of the MGIMO Institute for International Studies, will be the academic supervisor of the programme.

Eligibility
Third-year undergraduate students and above, as well as graduates and postgraduates from all regions of Russia who specialise in international relations, regional studies, political science, sociology, journalism, economics and law.
Young researchers from the CIS member-states and other countries who have a command of Russian good enough to be actively engaged in the Seminar.
Age of participants: 20-30 years old.
It is necessary to send the organisers a research question, main ideas and references list of your future project in order to participate in the programme. During the Seminar, participants will be able to select a tool to work on their research.
Participants are selected by the decision of the competitive committee.
Instructions to participate
1. Sign up at the Gorchakov Fund website. If you did not receive a registration verification email, check your spam folder.
2. Navigate to the “My Projects” section, click on the “Create application” button, select the “22nd Diplomatic Seminar” contest and hit “Yes.”
3. Fill in all mandatory fields with as much details as possible. Click on the “Submit” button in the “Apply” section and wait for the status to change from “Preparing” to “Submitted.”
Conditions of participation:
Accommodation, meals and travel in Moscow as part of the programme are paid by the event organisers.
Travel costs to Moscow and back are borne by the participants.
Last day for applications: 22 April.
The organisers will inform all candidates on the results of the selection via email by 6 May.

The Diplomatic Seminar of Young Experts is a research and educational programme and a youth platform for open dialogue on the issues of cooperation in the areas of international relations, economics, law, public diplomacy, and history.
During the period of its existence since 2012, the project has brought together over 900 specialists and experts from 45 CIS member-states and other countries. For many young experts, participation in the Seminar served as a professional stimulus for further scientific and social activities.
