The application process is coordinated by UOL and supported by the online application manager, EMundus. The final admission decision is taken by the Selection Board consisting of members of all partner institutions.
Application and Admission Procedures:
An overview of the application steps-
Applicants register in eMundus (link will be provided at the beginning of the application period).
Applicants complete the eMundus online application & submit it before 18 December 2024 at 23:59 CET (Germany time).
Applicants receive a confirmation email of successful delivery.
EMMIR team and consortium evaluate applications.
In April, the EMMIR Selection Board will meet at the end of March 2025 to decide about the admissions and reserve list. Successful scholarship and non-fee paying self-funded applicants will receive their notification letters starting at the beginning of April 2025. The aim is to complete the preliminary admission by 30 April 2025. Final admission will be done once you arrive in Oldenburg.
Successful fee-paying self-funded applicants who apply within the scholarship deadline will also receive their notification starting beginning of April 2025. Those who apply until the end of February and are successful will also receive notification starting beginning of April. Those who apply from March 2025 onwards and are successful will receive their notification approximately 8 weeks after submission.
Successful applicants have 10 calendar days after receiving their notification letter to send certified true hard copies of the application documents & proof of this to emmir@uol.de.
EMMIR Team examines the hard copies of the documents and sends letters of admission upon successful verification.
Reserve list students may receive notification in May/June 2025 if accepted students reject the offer.
Student registration and enrolment process begins once documents have been verified.
Edition 13's programme starts on 01 September 2025.

The online application form requires the applicant to upload the following documents in PDF form-
A clear copy of a valid passport
CV
Statement of Purpose, clarifying your motivation to study EMMIR (1 to 2 pages maximum)
First university degree diploma and transcript and other relevant degrees
Documentation of language proficiency
Other relevant documentation
Erasmus+ Scholarship Holders:
The Erasmus+ Scholarship holders are selected based on merit. They will receive a monthly scholarship of 1400€ for 24 months plus their health insurance, university registration and student service fees will be covered. Scholarship holders are required to cover the cost of mobility (e.g. travel, visa, vaccinations, residence permit fees) according to the obligatory EMMIR mobility path from their monthly stipends. There are no additional payments for travel and installation.
