Kyoto University’s Institute for Integrated Cell-Material Sciences (iCeMS) is offering a research experience opportunity for undergraduate students who aspire to enter graduate school at Kyoto University and who are interested in exploring the intersection of life and matter or creating new materials inspired by life’s phenomena. We invite applications as follows.

Qualifications and conditions for application:

Students who meet the following qualifications and conditions are invited to apply-

• Students who are enrolled in a foreign university (bachelor's degree program).

• Students must plan to complete at least two semesters of undergraduate study after completing the program.

• Students who are interested in pursuing graduate school at Kyoto University as members of an iCeMS laboratory.

  
  

Support:

• iCeMS will designate the route and provide round-trip air tickets (economy class).

• Accommodations will be provided by iCeMS.

• The Internship is unpaid. However, interns will receive a one-time stipend of ¥50,000.

Program Contents:

• Orientation

• Engage in fundamental research activities under the guidance of the host laboratory

• Observe and participate in conducting experiments

• Give a final presentation
