The Gorchakov Fund in partnership with Novosibirsk State University (NSU) launches the call for applications to join fellowship programmes for non-Russian professionals named Artificial intelligence and medicine, Information technologies and photonics, Information technologies in urban environment (smart cities) and held as part of the New Generation programme.
Participation in InteRussia is an opportunity to:
gain new knowledge at NSU, which is one of the best universities of Russia;
attend thematic trainings led by top experts;
take part in innovative professional workshops;
exchange experience with counterparts from different countries.
The fellowship programme participants will work in a group that fits the chosen area of study. The event will result in drafting and presenting an independent scientific project.
Eligibility
Non-Russian experts who pursue studies and work in the fields that fit the fellowship programmes are welcomed to take part in the selection process.
Candidate specification:
non-Russian citizenship;
age 25-35
place of residence outside Russia.
holder of a relevant degree (linked to one of the three areas of study);
current work in the respective speciality;
professional command of English (B2 level and above);
knowledge of Python, basic machine learning algorithms, and basic medical knowledge.
Applicants for the fellowship will be selected on a competitive basis. The selection criteria include:
good academic performance;
other research and expert activities of an applicant (participation in conferences, grant receipts, research fellowships, expert publications, media comments, etc.);
results of the (online) interview

Terms of participation
The organisers provide:
travel from a city of residence to Moscow and then to Novosibirsk and back;
accommodation for the whole period of the scientific and educational event;
travel as part of the programme;
visa support;
medical insurance;
scholarship for the duration of the fellowship in the amount of 30,000 rubles.
The participants pay for:
meals for the duration of the research and education school.
