Hansen Leadership Institute (HLI)

The Hansen Leadership Institute (HLI) brings together and trains future leaders from around the world to promote world peace and international cooperation.

Leadership

HLI provides training in the principles, practices and psychology of effective, ethical and visionary leadership. They also train Hansen fellows to be effective communicators and public speakers. In recent years, more attention has been paid to gender issues in the field of leadership. Intensive face-to-face communication 24/7 as part of our three-week program becomes the path to a lively virtual center where Hansen graduates participate, connect and mutually support each other's projects to establish peace and build community.

Mediation and conflict resolution

Peacemaking is an art that requires knowledge and fine interpersonal skills. HLI provides first-class training and hands-on training in these areas. They also train their fellows to communicate respectfully and effectively, despite cultural and political differences, with the aim of reconciliation and restorative justice. Human rights issues are central to many conflict resolution situations. Thus, HLI fellows also receive training from a human rights defender and an expert with extensive knowledge and experience in these areas.
