The II International Youth Forum of the CIS member States on Sustainable Development Goals will be held from October 9 to 12, 2023 (arrival day – October 8, departure day – October 13) in Moscow.
The Forum is part of the Action Plan for 2023-2024 for the implementation of the Strategy of International Youth Cooperation of the CIS member States for 2021-2030.
The purpose of the forum is to develop cooperation and consolidate the efforts of the youth of the CIS member States to contribute to the work to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals and benchmarks for sustainable development in their countries and the world.
Objectives:
Raising awareness of the youth of the CIS member States about the SDGs and their involvement in the implementation of the SDGs;
Formation of a pool of active youth leaders engaged in the promotion and implementation of the SDGs in the CIS;
Formation of a regular open dialogue platform for the exchange of experience, the creation of new ideas and projects for the development and implementation of initiatives in the field of sustainable development in the CIS;
Stimulating youth activity, support and development of youth initiatives in the field of sustainable development in the CIS;
Development of new effective forms of international youth cooperation, expansion and strengthening of international and interregional cooperation in the field of sustainable development in the CIS;
Promotion of cooperation between youth public associations in the field of sustainable development in the CIS;
Combining the efforts of relevant government agencies and youth public associations to implement the SDGs in the CIS;
Development of proposals and recommendations on international youth cooperation in the field of achieving the SDGs in the CIS.
The II International Youth Forum of the CIS Member States on Sustainable Development Goals will bring together 100 participants – young leaders of the CIS member states who actively participate in the promotion and implementation of the SDGs in the CIS space.
A candidate for participation in the forum must meet the following criteria:
be between the ages of 18 and 35;
have citizenship and reside in the territory of one of the CIS countries;
be a youth ambassador of the SDGs / a representative of a youth public organization / a representative of an informal youth association / a representative of a student organization / a young specialist in the field of sustainable development / a representative of a state body / a representative of an international agency who actively participates in the promotion and implementation of the SDGs in the CIS or a young person with a ready-made project or project idea aimed at achieving the SDGs №4, №10, №12, №13, №15, №17;
be interested in developing cooperation for the implementation of the SDGs in the CIS space;
be motivated and able to organize events and projects after the forum in cooperation with other forum participants;
be ready to work on the dissemination and enhancement of the knowledge gained during the forum;
be ready to take part in all events planned within the framework of the forum program;
be able to work in Russian.

The II International Youth Forum of the CIS Member States on Sustainable Development Goals is held jointly by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the National Council of Youth and Children's Associations of Russia and the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education "MIREA - Russian Technological University", which performs the functions of the Basic Organization of the CIS member States for Youth Work with the support of the Council on Youth affairs of the CIS member states.
