The MGIMO Institute of International Studies announces a competitive recruitment for the affiliated researchers program for Russian scientists and researchers from higher educational institutions.
Becoming an IMI affiliate researcher for a year is an opportunity to:
gain work experience in one of the leading centers of expertise in international relations in Russia;
take part in promising research projects;
increase academic awareness and publication activity;
expand the network of professional contacts;
take advantage of access to MGIMO information resources.
Who can become a member of the program?
Russian citizens;
having a degree;
those who did not study and did not work at MGIMO;
working in Russian educational institutions of higher education or scientific organizations, with the exception of organizations located in Moscow and the Moscow region.
How to participate in the competition?
The first step is to fill out a questionnaire. At the second stage - to pass an interview in an online format.
The main criteria for the first stage of selection are:
compliance of research topics with priority areas of scientific research and training of specialists at MGIMO;
publication activity of the candidate;
academic level of published works;
other research and educational activities (participation in conferences, obtaining and implementing grants, scientific internships, courses taught, participation in the preparation of textbooks and teaching aids);
knowledge of foreign language(s).
Conditions for the implementation of the program
Based on the results of the competitive selection, an employment contract is concluded with the participants of the program on the terms of external part-time work for a period of one year with the possibility of extension.
For the period of validity of the agreement, the affiliated researcher is an IMI researcher working remotely. The program provides for the full-time stay of an affiliated researcher in Moscow to work on the basis of IMI.
