Victoria Maheso Tumisang from South Africa was awarded for her contribution as a jury in the Essay Writing Competition organised by the IYES Foundation to mark the birth anniversary of Swami Dayanand Saraswati held in hybrid mode on 26th February 2022
On July 2nd, the South African International Students Association (SAISA) organized the South African Youth Seminar to mark the Youth Day of South Africa. The seminar was organized by SAISA in partnership with the International Youth Edu-skills (IYES) Foundation, Russia-BRICS Project office of International Cooperation, South African BRICS Youth Association (SABYA), International Youth Center “SuperNOVA” and SRAZU Group.
The thematic agenda of the seminar was youth Cooperation and multicultural dialogue from the perspective of South African history and culture.
During the Seminar, Mr Kamil, Director for Public Relations at the International Youth Edu-Skills Foundation awarded Victoria Maheso Tumisang for her contribution as one of the jury members in the Essay Writing Competition which was organised by the IYES Foundation to mark the birth anniversary of Swami Dayanand Saraswati on 26th February 2022 on the topic: “Importance Of education in life”. The language of the competition was English, and all students of all age groups participated in the competition. This competition was aimed to bring to the fore the essence of the wisdom of the great educational thinker/ philosopher i.e., Swami Dayanand Saraswati. The competition was organised in a hybrid manner. At the competition, Victoria acted as one of the members of the jury and reviewed more than 100 hand-written entries and helped the organizers to choose the winners.
The main objectives of the youth seminar included:
Celebrate and recognize the efforts of the youth of 1976 and those active in their communities and how that history has shaped South African youth today;
Enhancing the international society of the youth, specifically those based in Russia, and drawing attention to social, academic and financial challenges they face;
Create awareness about the Youth Day celebrations among our partners attending the event;
Promote ways to engage the youth in making positive contributions to their lives as well as their communities.
Participants from 6 countries Russia, China, India, South Africa, Zambia and Colombia took part in the Seminar.
The seminar was concluded with the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between the International Youth Edu-Skills Foundation and the South African International Students Association for developing international youth cooperation and joint projects. A similar MoU was signed between the International Project Congress and the South African International Students Association.
