
From March 22-23, the “Shaheed-E-Azam Bhagat Singh Memorial India-Russia-Uzbekistan Belt Wrestling Cup 2025 took place at MDU Rohtak, Haryana.
The Tri-Nation Belt Wrestling Cup was organised by Pathway Global Alliance and India’s National Preparatory Committee (NPC) for the World Youth Festival, Russia along with partner organisations and sponsors.
Rahul Sharma, Director of Regional and International Projects at the International Youth Edu-Skills Foundation (IYESF) and member of NPC for WYF was in attendance at the India-Russia-Uzbekistan Belt Wrestling Cup in MDU, Rohtak.
The grand inauguration ceremony of the India-Russia-Uzbekistan Wrestling Cup 2025 was honoured by esteemed dignitaries from Russia and Uzbekistan, members of Pathway Global Alliance, and representatives from MDU University.
The list of dignitaries included Ruslan Tagirovich Khabibov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Sports of Republic of Bashkortostan Russia; Varun Kashyap, Chairperson of NPC India & Director of Pathways Global Alliance; Uday Sood, Secretary of NPC India; Shanky Singh, WWE Wrestler; Dushyant Gautam, National General Secretary of BJP; Rajesh Bhagga, Former Chairman of SC Commission Punjab & Vice President of BJP Punjab; Daria Jeldaev, Representative of World Youth Festival Directorate and Dr Randeep Rana, Director, Sports at MDU Rohtak.
The ceremony also featured electrifying performances by Mirage (NSUT's Dance Society) and Raaga (DDUC's Dance Society). The India-Russia-Uzbekistan Belt Wrestling Cup 2025 was filled with intense matches and cultural exchanges.
Athletes from India, Russia, and Uzbekistan displayed unmatched resilience and sportsmanship. The wrestling cup was a showcase of strength, skill, strategy, determination, and power, keeping the audience engaged throughout the day.
