IYESF Participated in the Indo-Russian Education Summit held in New Delhi



On April 11, 2024, Thursday, the first day of the 3-day Indo-Russian Education Summit was held at the Russian House in New Delhi, India. The summit was organised by The Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of India, Rus Education, Russian House, the Russian Education Facilitation Center and Rossotrudnichestvo, with an intent to bring the leaders, policymakers and academics together, exchange knowledge and explore new opportunities to collaborate and innovate that will benefit the students and the institutions. 


Rahul Sharma, Director of Regional and International Projects at the International Youth Edu-Skills Foundation (IYESF) was in attendance at the event. The planned affairs of the day included two panel discussions and a round-table conference.



The initial day of the summit started with an inaugural session where the event was officially opened by the dignitaries present. An inaugural speech was made by Mr. Denis Alipov, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of India. He lauded the summit for its significance in bilateral educational relations between India and Russia.


The inauguration was followed by the first panel discussion of the day on “Russia – India – BRICS: the role of higher education in the development of comprehensive cooperation”.



The second panel discussion for the day started after a break, on "career opportunities for Indian graduates in Russian universities and business as a customer for training india personnel in Russia". Lastly, the final discussion for the day was on "Cooperation between Russia and India in the field of medical education".


Some of the notable dignitaries who brought great value to the discussions with their significant speeches were Mrs. Tatiana Semenova, Deputy Minister of Health in Russian Federation, Ms. Tatiana A. Terentyeva, Deputy Director General for Personnel State Atomic Energy Corporation “ROSATOM”, Prof. (Dr.) Simrit Kaur, Principal Shri Ram College of Commerce, Ms. Elena Martynova, Deputy Head of the Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre, and Cartography (Rosreestr), Mr. Gribov Denis Evgenievich, Deputy Minister, Ministry of Science and Higher Education, Air Marshal (Dr) Pawan Kapoor, Technical Advisor at Rus Education and many more.



The key aims for this education summit are to

  • Improve the educational experience of Indian students studying in Russia

  • Streamline the admission process and post-admission support

  • Enhance the quality of education through joint research and development

  • Encourage cultural exchange and understanding

  • Explore opportunities, latest study abroad programs, & scholarships.



With over 80 universities participating and more than 30 speakers, this Indo-Russian Education Summit is expected to be a ground-breaking event with the potential to forge impactful academic alliances and further the advancement of education globally.
