The International Youth Edu-Skills Foundation (IYESF) is thrilled to announce a Short Video Contest commemorating National Youth Day 2025. With the theme "Youth as Change Makers", this contest celebrates the invincible spirit of young people driving transformation in their communities. It provides a platform for showcasing inspiring stories of individuals or groups who embody courage, creativity, and commitment to fostering a positive impact.


Objective:


The contest seeks to-


  • Highlight Contributions: Showcase the innovative and impactful contributions of youth in diverse sectors such as education, environment, social justice, technology, and more.

  • Inspire Action: Motivate other young people to take proactive roles in their communities.

  • Amplify Voices: Provide a platform for youth to share their journeys and achievements with a global audience.

  • Celebrate Youth Day: Align the initiative with the ethos of Youth Day by honouring the legacy of young leaders and inspiring the next generation.


Eligibility:


  • Open to individuals or groups aged 18–35 years.

  • Entries can be submitted by individuals or teams of up to 2 members.


Sub-Themes:


  1. Environmental Conservation: Actions to protect natural resources, combat climate change, or promote sustainability.

  2. Social Inclusion: Efforts to support marginalized groups, reduce inequalities, or promote diversity.

  3. Education: Initiatives to improve access to quality education, skill development, or mentorship.

  4. Health and Well-being: Projects promoting physical or mental health awareness.

  5. Technology for Good: Using innovation and technology to solve community challenges.

  6. Humanitarian Efforts: Volunteering, disaster relief, or helping those in need.


Awards and Recognition:


  • Winner - 5,000 INR cash prize + certificate of recognition.

  • Runner-Up - 2000 INR cash prize + certificate.

  • Honourable Mentions - Certificates and feature on IYESF’s social media and website.


Short Video Specifications:


  • Duration: Minimum 60 seconds, maximum 90 seconds.

  • Format: MP4 or MOV, with a resolution of at least 720p.

  • Language: Any language, but subtitles in English are mandatory.

  • Content: The video must narrate a real-life story of how the individual/group has contributed to positive change.

  • Uniqueness and Authenticity: The video must be original, reflect genuine efforts, and strongly represent the theme "Youth as Change Makers." Plagiarized or exaggerated content will lead to disqualification.


Judging Criteria:


  • Impact - The measurable or observable difference created in the community.

  • Creativity - Innovative and engaging storytelling techniques.

  • Clarity - Clear communication of the initiative and its objectives.

  • Inspiration - The potential to motivate others to take action.

  • Uniqueness and Authenticity - Demonstrating original ideas and authentic experiences that align strongly with the contest theme.
