Eligibility:

Foreign human resources with advanced skills who are nationals of developing countries (countries on the OECD/DAC list)(excluding People’s Republic of China)

Internship Location:


Face-to-face courses in Japan-

Small to medium-sized companies with main business locations in Japan. (excluding industry associations, non-profit organizations, and local governments).


Online courses-

The internship will be conducted online as participants work from home, under the direction and management of the host company's activities.


Support and benefits:

  • Pre-training for interns (The training will include an overview of the project, the process of participating in the internship, precautions and key points of the internship, and Japanese work qualifications)

  • Assistance in obtaining a visa to come to Japan.

  • Arrangement of round-trip airline tickets

  • Arrangement of accommodation

  • Provide PCs necessary for the internship (offline courses will be provided by the company) (Offline courses will be provided by the company, online courses will be provided by the program(JIP) office in principle after separate consultation)

  • Activity support costs depend on the number of internship days (Offline course: ¥3,000 per day, online course: local currency equivalent to ¥1,000 per day)

  • Internship insurance


Expectations and responsibilities:

  • Develop an internship plan (intern's role, goal, etc.)in consultation with the internship manager

  • Participating in pre-training and wrap-up presentations.

  • Taking responsibility for their own safety and health thoroughly. Contact with the program office and the host company regularly, continually reporting or consulting with them.

  • Submitting various documents, notifications, reports, etc. before, during and after the internship.

  • Participate in Japanese language classes whenever possible if you have been offered a permanent position at your internship company.

  • Appropriate behaviour represented as a recipient of public funds from the Japanese government.


IMPORTANT: This internship program does not offer actual employment but work experience within a certain period in a Japanese company.
