NGO courses of the Gorchakov Foundation


Event dates: July 21-24, 2022 (including departure and departure days).

Venue: Moscow, Russia (in-person only).

The last date for accepting applications is June 15, 23:59 Moscow time.

The working language is Russian.


The Gorchakov Foundation is considering accepting applications for courses for the lungs and project managers of NGOs on foreign policy. NPO courses are an external project of the Foundation, which has existed since 2016.


The purpose of the course is to get acquainted with representatives of Russian and foreign non-profit organizations using methods that have the ability to implement international projects. The current stream will differ from the previous ones in that only NGOs registered and operating in the regions of Russia will take part in the German one.

The course contains:

  • meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs S.V. Lavrova is a member of non-profit organizations

  • meetings with representatives of relevant ministries and departments

  • consultations of representatives of Russian organizations - grant operators in the field of public diplomacy;

  • joint work with the team of the Gorchakov Foundation on the preparation of international projects; opportunity to refine the application for sending

  • grant competition of the Gorchakov Foundation

  • acquaintance with surrounding organizations from other regions dealing with the same topic

  • lecture on public diplomacy and the role of NGOs in international relations

  • master classes on raising funds, information support and other key skills in the implementation of international projects


All participants will be divided into INF groups according to their areas of activity (Central Asia, BRICS, the Arctic, the Caucasus, etc.), and a separate program will be developed for each group, taking into account their specifics.


Obtaining knowledge and results is probably not mandatory for applying for a grant from the Gorchakov Foundation, but also from other grant-giving organizations.


The courses take place during the "summer" grant window. Participants will have the opportunity to prepare better applications for the Gorchakov Foundation grant.


Participant selection criteria:


the represented NGO must have experience in implementing projects in the field of international relations

a representative of the organization must have personal experience in implementing projects in the field of public diplomacy and international relations

The age of representatives of the organization is up to 40 years. From one organization - no more than 1 representative.


The terms of participation


The Gorchakov Fund pays for accommodation (in double rooms), meals, trainings within the framework of the program. Participants pay their own travel to Moscow, transfer from the airport to the hotel and back, and other expenses not provided for by the iron.


How to take part?


Submit an application using the Gorchakov Fund form, after pre-registering on the Fund's website, as well as attach an essay of at least 5,000 characters without spaces on the topic "Proposals for the development of the geographical direction of your organization in an international situation." The essay should reflect the state of the upcoming indicative direction of activity, with some problems, organization problems arise in the implementation of projects, proposals for their solution, as well as options for enhancing activities in the nearest direction.


All candidates will be informed of registration by email on July 5th.
