The educational seminar on the development of international youth cooperation and public diplomacy "Public Diplomatic Corps" will be held from December 24 to 28, 2024 (arrival day - December 23, departure day - December 29 (or December 28 after 15:00) in Moscow.
In 2024, the Public Diplomatic Corps program will focus on developing cooperation between the Russian Federation and other CIS member states, developing initiatives and youth projects that will strengthen mutual interest and find new points of contact.
The goal of the seminar is to identify and consolidate youth leaders and representatives of youth public organizations working in the field of international youth cooperation and public diplomacy, to strengthen their knowledge, to develop professional and cross-professional skills necessary for international communication and the successful implementation of international youth projects, as well as for the effective and high-quality participation of their organizations in public diplomacy programs.
The seminar program consists of two main blocks:
the theoretical block will include meetings with experts, lectures, trainings and master classes aimed at strengthening knowledge and developing professional and supra-professional skills necessary for work in the field of international youth cooperation and public diplomacy;
The practical block will include the development of projects aimed at developing friendly, partnership relations with youth leaders and public organizations of foreign countries, with international and intergovernmental institutions, as well as the formation of a positive image of Russia abroad.
Eligibility Criteria:
be between 18 and 35 years of age;
have citizenship and reside in the territory of the Russian Federation;
be a representative of a youth public organization/representative of an informal youth association/representative of a student organization/representative of a public organization working in the field of international relations / a master's or postgraduate student in the field of "International Relations" / a young specialist in the field of international relations who is involved in international activities and deals with issues of international youth cooperation and public diplomacy on a daily basis;
have experience in participating and/or organizing international youth events/projects;
be motivated to actively participate in the seminar and learn actively;
have the motivation and ability to organize events and projects after the seminar in collaboration with other seminar participants;
be prepared to work to disseminate and expand the knowledge gained during the seminar;
be present throughout the workshop and participate in all elements of the program.
The educational seminar on the development of international youth cooperation and public diplomacy "Public Diplomatic Corps" is held jointly by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the National Council of Youth and Children's Associations of Russia and the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education "MIREA - Russian Technological University", which performs the functions of the Basic Organization of the CIS Member States for Work with Youth.
