Rahul Sharma, Director of International and Regional Projects at IYES Foundation, and Vice President of the Centre for Global Business and Investment Promotion (CGBIP) participated in the prestigious Raisina Dialogue 2024 held in Delhi from February 21st to 23rd. The event brought together over 115 countries, offering a dynamic platform where global leaders, policymakers, and intellectuals exchanged unique perspectives, concerns, and experiences under the overarching theme of "Chaturanga: Conflict, Contest, Cooperate, Create."

Raisina Dialogue, jointly organized by the Indian Ministry of External Affairs and the Observer Research Foundation (ORF), has consistently served as a paramount forum for geopolitics and geo-economics since its inception in 2016. This year’s edition, under the theme of "Chaturanga," aimed to address ongoing global uncertainties and opportunities through partnerships across various domains.

The inaugural session, graced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Chief Guest, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis of the Hellenic Republic (Greece), emphasized the growing convergence between nations, particularly India and Greece, as "civilizational states."

Among the distinguished speakers on the final day of the event were notable figures such as Smriti Irani, Union Cabinet Minister for Women and Child Development; Textiles, India, and S. Jaishankar, Minister of External Affairs, India, who contributed to enriching discussions on critical issues facing the international community.

Highlighting the significance of strengthening India-Greece bonds, Mitsotakis underscored shared values and deepening economic ties, paving the way for enhanced cooperation in trade, defence, and migration. He advocated for initiatives such as the India-Middle East Economic Corridor (IMEC), underscoring the imperative of continued collaboration amidst global challenges.

Acknowledging India's leadership across diverse spheres, including climate change partnerships and digital innovation, Mitsotakis lauded India's pivotal role in global governance and its commitment to the development agenda.

Rahul Sharma's participation in the Raisina Dialogue further underscored the commitment of IYES Foundation and CGBIP to fostering international cooperation and addressing global challenges through constructive dialogue and collaboration.

The 9th edition of the Raisina Dialogue witnessed participation from over 100 countries, including representatives from various sectors such as government, industry, academia, and media, facilitating insightful discussions on pressing global issues.
