The Rosa Luxembourg Foundation awards scholarships to students and doctoral students from Germany and other countries who demonstrate a high level of social and political activity.
Goals:
The Rosa Luxembourg Foundation aims to:
Organize political education and disseminate information about the social relations that govern our globalized, unjust and hostile world.
To provide space for the critical analysis of modern capitalism, while serving as a center for policy discussions around the modern concept of democratic socialism, as well as a socialist think tank generating political alternatives.
Serve as a forum in Germany and abroad, promoting dialogue between socialist forces, movements and organizations, left-wing intellectuals and non-governmental organizations.
Grant funding for young scientists in the form of scholarships for students and doctoral students.
To provide impetus and inspiration for independent socialist political action and to support initiatives for peace and international understanding towards a socially just and solidary world.
Financial benefits:
The monthly stipend consists of 850 euros and a lump sum payment of 20 euros. Additional payments for health insurance up to a maximum of 86 euros are also available.
Requirements:
High scientific and professional qualifications (above average performance at school and / or university);
Political and social activity in line with the goals of the Rosa Luxembourg Foundation;
Both German and foreign students of all specialties are eligible to apply. Applicants must be enrolled in a German higher education institution.
Proficiency in German (level B2 or higher).
