The event will take place at the National Research University BSU, Belgorod, on 24-26 May. The conference is led by Akhmed Mansur, a winner of the Gorchakov Fund grant competition for foreign citizens that took place as part of the International Youth Forum “Eurasia Global” in June 2022.
The purpose of the conference is to draw the attention of ordinary people in society to possible points of contact in different areas between Russia and the Arab world countries, to increase interest in the culture and history of these regional states, to give an impetus to the development of intercultural and interdisciplinary links in education, and to establish a dialogue between young leaders.
The main topics of the conference:
Russia and the countries of the Arab world: a historical perspective;
Strategic international cooperation in the academic field;
Intercultural dialogue between Russia and the countries of the Arab world;
Participation of the mass media in the popularisation of education and culture;
Improving the system of distance education in the Arab states.
Terms of participation:
undergraduate and graduate students, as well as young scholars are welcomed to apply;
participation in the conference is free of charge;
accommodation for the participants and meals are paid for by the grant recipient;
travel costs are at the expense of the second party or at the participants' own expense.
The event is co-organised by Belgorod State National Research University and partnered by the Russian House in Syria and Russian House in Palestine (Rossotrudnichestvo), Association of International Students of Russia, Al-Istiqlal University, Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov, Belgorod regional branch of the all-Russian community-based organisation “Assembly of the Peoples of Russia.”
