Strategic session “BRICS+: 2030: The image of the future of BRICS+ through the eyes of youth” was held at the V international Municipal BRICS+ Forum


The Strategic session “BRICS+: 2030: The image of the future of BRICS+ through the eyes of youth” was co-hosted by the by the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly at V International Municipal Forum BRICS+


BRICS+ is a unique, promising platform for multidisciplinary interaction. In connection with the expansion of the geography of the BRICS+ countries, it is necessary to solve large-scale tasks, in the implementation of which young people, who make up the majority of the population in the BRICS+ countries, play an important role.


As part of the strategic session, proposals will be prepared for the implementation of joint youth projects with the guidance of the Experts of the Session.



Daria Saprynskaya, Co-Chairman of the Coordination Council of the Eurasian Youth Assembly, project manager of the Gorchakov Foundation, researcher at ISAA Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov moderated the interesting session and group work.


Svetlana Smirnova, First Deputy Secretary General – Head of the General Secretariat of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly gave a welcome address and invited youth to work together for better future.


Experts of the session provided an insight of the projects they are implementing for youth development and improvement of the society. Then all the participants were divided into three groups to develop ideas and projects for the future.


Akil Mohammad, Founder and Chairman of the Public Organization International Youth Edu-Skills Foundation, Deputy Head of the Project Office for International Youth Cooperation “Russia-BRICS” during his address told about the two important projects which are the Foundation is planning to host in 2024 with their partners from Russia to strengthen the multilateral and bilateral ties within BRICS and providing a cultural exchange. The two projects includes Festival of dolls theatre of the BRICS nations and Education Tourism between India and Russia.

Tegu Imanulla, Chairman of the National Youth Committee of Indonesia “KNPI” in the Russian Federation (Republic of Indonesia);


Manu Manikandan, research scientist at the University of Kerala (Republic of India);


Ekaterina Serova, Deputy Director of the Arctic Center, Institute of Northern European and Arctic Studies, Petrozavodsk State University (Russian Federation);


Faysal Sofiekh, Head of the Union of Syrian Students in St. Petersburg (Syrian Republic);


Himadrish Suwan, Chairman of the Confederation of Young Leaders of India, Director General of the Indian Institute of Management and Leadership, Advisor to the Confederation of Indian Universities (Republic of India);


Mario Lucas Carniero, Master's student of the TIMO Department, Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (Federal Republic of Brazil).
