The Melnichenko Foundation, BRICS Center and International Youth Edu-Skills Foundation Agreed to Join Forces to Create the League of BRICS+ Foundations

May 17, Moscow – The Andrey Melnichenko Foundation signed bilateral cooperation agreements with the BRICS Center (Brazil) and the International Youth Edu-Skills Foundation (India). Both documents provide for joining efforts to create a League of BRICS+ Foundations in the field of development of science and education, as well as joint work to attract other international foundations to cooperation.

The agreements were signed by the General Director of the Melnichenko Foundation Tatyana Zhuravleva, the President of the BRICS Center, Professor Vicente Barrientos and the founder and Chairman of the Board of the International Youth Edu-Skills Foundation Akil Mohammad. The signing ceremony took place in Moscow at the Melnichenko Foundation.

General Director of the Melnichenko Foundation Tatyana Zhuravleva noted: “Strengthening and developing strategic partnerships with foreign organizations occupies a special place in the activities of the Foundation. The effort not only facilitates the broad sharing of knowledge and resources but also creates a strong foundation for long-term collaboration aimed at achieving common goals in various areas. We are confident that partnership with the BRICS Center and the International Youth Foundation for Advanced Studies will open up new opportunities for joint projects in the field of education and scientific research, which will allow us to achieve ambitious goals at the international level.”

“Cooperation with the Andrey Melnichenko Foundation provides a unique opportunity for the exchange of knowledge and technology between the BRICS countries. Our partnership will contribute to the formation of international scientific and educational networks that can significantly increase the effectiveness of our joint work,” said the President of the BRICS Center, Professor Vicente Barrientos.

“The agreement signed today opens up new opportunities for dialogue and cooperation not only between our foundations but also representatives of the scientific and educational community of our countries. I am confident that this will help promote joint research, exchange best practices, and scale up youth training projects to the markets of our countries,” said Mohammad Akil, Chairman of the Board of the International Youth Edu-Skills Foundation, at the signing ceremony.

The Melnichenko Foundation took the initiative to create the League of BRICS+ Foundations in March of this year as part of a working meeting of the BRICS Youth Dialogue on Science, Technology and Innovation in the city of Yangzhou (Jiangsu Province, East China). It is expected that the League's mission will be aimed at uniting the efforts of the world community in finding and overcoming the challenges of the future, based on the mutual exchange of knowledge and resources. The international association will make it possible to build an integrated and innovative scientific and educational space capable of responding to the complex challenges of our time.
