Japan Culture Camp by AYFN is a cultural training program designed to give an insight into culture and social awareness since 2015. This program allows participants to learn about Japanese culture by making friends directly. This program is also a means of increasing the level of knowledge and skills necessary to confront globalization. This is not a student exchange, but a youth and cultural exchange program.
Events
Cultural tours to Osaka and Kyoto, thanks to which both cities are well known as centers of Japanese culture.
Visit interesting places in both Osaka and Kyoto, for example: Osaka Castle, Gion district in Kyoto (geisha), Namba district, Arashiyama and Nara.
Try real Japanese cuisine (sushi, udon, ramen, etc.)
Take a walk through the historic district of Kyoto (Fushimi Inari Taisha, Kiyomizudera and Yasaka Temple).
How will the Japanese Culture Camp work?
The participants will be met in Japan.
The camp will combine a sense of friendship, adventure and cultural awareness.
Participants will live for 6 days in Osaka, Japan.
The camp needs participants who are passionate about international friendship and easily adapt to a new environment (cultural differences).
Location of the Japanese Culture Camp
This camp will be held in Osaka and Kyoto. Both cities are known as cultural cities of Japan. Participants of the program will have a unique opportunity to get acquainted with Kyoto — the historical former capital of Japan, replete with its temples, shrines and traditional gardens.

Accommodation and meals during the camp
During this camp, participants will be accommodated in a hotel with a high standard of quality. The accommodation conditions in the hotel are very good, clean and well located. Men and women are accommodated in separate rooms. To learn more about Japanese culture (the daily life of the Japanese), all participants during the trip will travel around the city by public transport (train and bus).
Japan is famous for its delicious and healthy food. Who is not familiar with sushi, ramen, udon, etc.? Breakfast and lunch will be provided during the trip. But you have to buy dinner yourself. There are many amazing restaurants in Kyoto and Osaka, where the program staff will direct you if you want to have dinner out from time to time.

To be eligible to participate in the programs of the AYFN ACADEMY, you must:
a. Have a good command of English language
b. Have a good financial position to pay for the program
c. Have a good academic record
Required competencies
To participate in the programs of the AYFN ACADEMY, you must demonstrate the following necessary competencies:
The ability to be flexible and adapt to new, unexpected circumstances as they arise. To navigate independently and/or appropriately in a new and/or unfamiliar environment. (Example: to live in a hostel of the host party; to use urban/rural public transport).
Ability to be responsible for all known personal medical and psychological needs prior to participating in the program.
The ability to respect the culture of the host country and its various languages, values, customs and belief systems.
The ability to respect the people living with you, as well as your neighbors, if you live in accommodation provided by the AYFN ACADEMY.
Cost and payments
1. Registration Fee Policy
a. 1st installment: You pay an initial fee for participation in the program in order to reserve seats. This payment is non-refundable.
b. 2nd installment: You pay the remaining part of the program cost within 20 working days before the start of the program.
2. Acceptance
By submitting an application or submitting an online registration form to the AYFN program, you agree to register for the program for which you have applied/registered, if you are approved and accepted. Programs may require interviews, written applications, or both before deciding on a student's admission.
Program cost and billing
After being accepted into the program, if applicable, the AYFN ACADEMY will send you an invoice for the cost of the program minus the deposit. Payment is made in full, as indicated in the invoice. For information about specific expenses, please refer to the relevant program.
