The Gorchakov Foundation is now accepting applications for the XVIII Diplomatic Seminar for Young Professionals, which will be held in Yekaterinburg, the capital of the Urals Federal District.
As part of the project, meetings will be held with leading scientists in the field of international relations, global security, well-known political scientists, politicians and historians, representatives of public organizations, scientists.
Seminar dates: May 29 – June 2.
Venue: Yekaterinburg.
Working language of the event: Russian.
The application deadline is April 29, 23:59 Moscow time.
All candidates will be informed about the results of the competition by e-mail.
The XVIII Diplomatic Seminar for Young Professionals will be dedicated to global security issues, reformatting the system of international relations and integration processes in the post-Soviet space.
Who can become a member?
undergraduate and graduate students with a specialization in international relations, political science, journalism, economics and law;
representatives of public organizations, student unions and youth movements;
young scientists and historians from the regions of Russia, the CIS countries, Europe and Asia (applications can be sent by young specialists from other continents);
international journalists dealing with issues of foreign policy positioning.
Age of participants - from 18 to 30 years.
The group of seminar delegates is formed on the basis of a competition.
How to take part?
To participate in the competition, you must fill out the form of the Gorchakov Foundation, having previously registered on the Foundation's website.
An essay must be attached to the application (no more than 5,000 characters) on one of the topics on the agenda of the event: global security issues, reformatting the system of international relations and integration processes in the post-Soviet space.
The organizers will pay for the authors of the three best essays from their place of residence to Yekaterinburg and back.
The terms of participation
accommodation, meals and travel in Yekaterinburg are paid by the organizers of the event;
Participants pay their own way to Yekaterinburg and back.
Program History
The Diplomatic Seminar for Young Professionals is a scientific and educational program and a youth platform for an open dialogue on cooperation in the fields of international relations, economics, law, public diplomacy and history. A well-established project since its existence since 2012 has gathered an audience of more than 300 specialists and experts from 30 countries of near and far abroad. For many of the young specialists, participation in the project served as a good professional incentive for further scientific and social activities.
